Contents

[edit] What To Add?

Add any canal related information that you feel that others would enjoy. It can be public or private, free or paid. If it has to with the canal, add it!

[edit] Preparations

Before you add a new location, there are a few simple things that you need to know.

  1. Full, proper name.
  2. A brief description.
  3. Photos are helpful, but not necessary.

[edit] Add A New Page

To add a new page, first make sure that the page does not exist. Search for it with the search box. If you do not find it, then enter the full, proper name of the location into the search box and click search. If there are abbreviated names, those pages can be redirect to the proper page later.

Try to avoid a name that may describe something else. Using a simple name may confuse someone searching for a similar named article of a different area.

Once you type the proper name into the search box and submit it, a new window will come up with the red link saying to create this page. Click on this, and you will then be taken to a new editing page where you can begin to edit.

[edit] Useful Starting Basis

Each location is different, but below is code that you can copy and paste into your new page. This is generic, feel free to deviate from this as appropriate.
